    • A faster operating platform to make things quicker for everyone

During 2014 we attended job centres, universities, work fairs and met lots of employers. At every one of these events we had lots of feedback about how to improve the website, and at every opportunity we listened, we wrote down your ideas, we sent them all off to the web team and we paid our biggest bill ever to have them realised.

Was it worth it? Well you decide, take a look at the way the new website works, especially the Tweet your profile with 1-click.

So feel free to share the website with your friends via email / Facebook / or twitter and help the people in your area find work.

Just One click to tweet your profile to employers…

1. When you log in to your profile you will see a new button under your profile labelled “Post profile to Twitter”

2. Just one click opens up Twitter, with a link in the tweet to your World in Work profile

3. All ready for you to edit and tweet to an employer

4. So what are you waiting for? Start tweeting to employers today and be unique. You can look at our employers list on the World in Work Twitter account @worldinwork for hundreds of employers twitter recruitment accounts. You can also search for the employer you want, or search various hashtags for example… #hiring #jobs #careers # new job #vacancy #work #jobsearch

Access our job board without logging in or even joining the website…

You told us your friends want to use our unique job board, but they don’t want to register on the website. So we have removed the need to be a member or log in to use our job board. Have a look here and tell you friend that asked. Click here to view our job board

Write your own job titles using our new staged registration process…

You told us you didn’t like us making you choose our job titles, you want to create your own, and you should be able to save your profile at any time during registration. So you know what… we did that for you too. Log in and edit your profile to your own job title now.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

P.S. If you Tweet us your profile @worldinwork with #TweetMeWiW we’ll be happy to retweet you to our 2000+ followers.

The summer of sport continued in 2014, the Commonwealth Games served up 17 sports in 11 days, and Glasgow carried on where the London 2012 games, the inspiration for creating World in Work, left off. The athletes did their part, but this great event was created and delivered by the amazing people of Glasgow and beyond, and if you know anyone who is looking for a new opportunity to use the experience they gained working on the games, feel free to forward this email to them.

During July and August we have engaged with a number of employers, most recently the great people at Kwik-Fit, take a look below at the full Kwik-Fit article, and if you are interested they will be searching World in Work for potential new candidates from apprentices to master fitters, as always with World in Work you can apply direct to them.

25 April 2014 email

Dear Members…

We have been making lots of changes to make World in Work even better to assist you in your search for employment. Despite numerous approaches from agencies we have maintained our stance that World in Work will remain agency free and we will not add any recruitment agencies to our job board. This means only companies contact you and the jobs you apply for from our job board are direct with the company, no middle men and no fees. Thank you for helping us become one of the largest free recruiting websites in the UK, feel free to share this email with anyone you know looking for work, and remember to follow us on Twitter / Like us on Facebook for the latest opportunities and information.

Remember the best way to attract an employer is create an interesting profile brief and we have added a number of ways to help you do this, on our blog for free and with our discounts at professional CV / profile writers.

1.    Check out the World in Work blog to find information on:

  • Improving your profile page (see below for more details)
  • Helping you use the job board
  • How to tweet your World in Work Profile to employers
  • Our previous emails to members
  • The feedback from other members on their World in Work successes

2.    We have added nine new sectors and completely re-designed our job board with links to over 1000 new company careers pages so we have over 3000 companies on our job board now.

3.    We have added two new sections to our employee search page for employers to find you even easier

  • “Name search” allows them to search for people they know
  • “Keyword search” allows them to search using one word and a post code

4.    We have added a World in Work video from our founder to our website so employers can see how it works easier and search more

5.    We have redesigned the home page and registration pages to make the website more appealing for employers to use and contact our members

6.    We have been working with a professional CV writing company and after seeing many examples of their work, we judged them to be good value. So our team negotiated a 20% discount, and a free World in Work profile brief write up, for our current members or our new members when they register on World in Work and purchase a professional CV. Prices start from £25

What’s coming soon?

  1. We are developing our Graduate job board, to list all the companies from our job board who run graduate schemes.
  2. Our job board will rise to over 5000 companies
  3. Our global platform, after numerous requests from overseas job seekers we are busy developing a global job search platform
  4. Our Smartphone app – where you update your profile, job search and tweet / share your World in Work profile straight to employers via Facebook and twitter.

Remember to check your junk mail settings so your spam filter doesn’t make you miss contact emails from employers via World in Work.
